960. McShagger's Double Ewe Scotch Ale
I bought this beer on a whim at Downtown Wine & Spirits, mostly because I was amused by the name. It sat in the fridge for a couple of weeks before I opened it.
Beer Stats:
Brewery: The People's Pint
Alcohol: ?
Serving: Bottle, 22 oz.
Style: Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy, BJCP Style Guide
Pours a hazed brown. Topped by a light brown, sudsy head that fades to a film fringed by a large ring of bubbles. Rich and malty in aroma. Notes of caramel, molasses, toffee and dark fruit.
Sweet malts upfront, notable caramel and molasses. Dark fruit appears in the center, followed by a mildly roasted bitterness, and an alcoholic and peppery spiciness. Full-bodied and thick, but somewhat cut by the vigorous carbonation.
